Patton, M. Christine, age 96, of North River, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Truro. Born in Lower Mt. Thom, Pictou County, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Roderick and Katherine Ann (McGillivray) Cameron. She was a former employee of Stanfield’s Limited Truro for 30 years. She was a member of the Hilden Card Club, and active in community affairs. She was a person who extremely loved life, her family, and her friends, and always saw the good in all people. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Clarke-Buchanan, North River; son, Ronald (Jacqueline) Patton, Bible Hill; grandchildren, Frederick, Kirby, Kathie, Barbara, Maria; 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; special nephew, Don (Noreen) Cameron. She was predeceased by her husband, Stewart O’Brian Patton; granddaughter, Heather; brothers, Roderick and Colin Cameron. Visitation will be held 6 – 8 pm Tuesday, December 22, and funeral service 2 pm Wednesday, December 23, Rev. John Parsons officiating, all in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro. Interment at a later date in the Crossroads Cemetery Valley. Family flowers only.
