SMITH, Sharon Faye – 53, Shag Harbour, It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of their beloved Sharon on December 19, 2015, after a courageous 7 year battle with cancer. Born October 11, 1962, she was a daughter of Daniel and Esther (Ross) Maxwell. Sharon was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was more important to her than anything and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and just family in general. She was a member of the Clucks and Cackles Christmas Club which she greatly enjoyed. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Monty Smith; sons, Jeremy (Kara) Smith, Travis (Debbie) Smith, Shannon (Karine) Smith; grandchildren, Makynzie, Shaylie, Kaysen, Brysen; parents, Daniel and Esther Maxwell; brothers, Ira (Bobbi) Maxwell, Arthur (Lisa) Maxwell, Ernest (Kathy) Maxwell, Kirt (Wanda) Maxwell; sisters, Flora (Allen Nickerson) Brannen, Remona (Randy) Chetwynd, Bertha (Garvin) Atwood; special father and mother-in-law, Emery and Hazel Smith; and many nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation held Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, December 22, at 2 p.m. in the H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington with Pastors Phil Williams and Wayne Crowell officiating. Interment to follow in the Old Farm Cemetery, Shag Harbour. Family flowers only; in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VON or the Yarmouth Regional Hospital Foundation.
