As per Dorothy's request there will be no formal funeral service. Dorothy was born on April 26, 1921 to Ethel and Percy Bendle. She is survived by her two sons Richard (Cindy) of Fosterton, SK and their children Crystal (Shawn) and their children Kieran and Haydon of Yorkton, SK, Sheldon (Tenille) and their children Navlyn and Brynna of Medicine Hat, AB; Ernest (Heather) of Swift Current, SK and their children Kyler of Medicine Hat, Kale of Fosterton, and Klanci (Winston) of Pennant, SK. Dorothy is predeceased by her father Percy in 1966; her mother Ethel in 1986; husband Elmer in 1997; sister Vera; and brother-in-law Bill Ball. Dorothy grew up on the family farm in the Green Dell district where she attended the Green Dell School. She worked along side her parents on the family farm. She married the love of her life Elmer, on June 18, 1953. She was a very hard working farm wife and home maker. She was a member of the Fosterton Ladies Club for many years. Dorothy spent countless hours working alongside Elmer and her boys. She was always willing to go to the field, look after and milk the cows, cooking and baking, and she always managed to keep a spotless house. Once the grandkids came along she turned her attention towards them and was often seen with all of them. She was very happy when her great-grandchildren started to arrive. She loved to hold and snuggle each one of them. A huge thank you to the staff at the Pioneer Lodge in Swift Current, Dr. S.F. de Nysschen and the staff at the Prairie Health Care Centre in Cabri, SK for all the loving care given to our mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Memorial Donations may be made to the Prairie Health Care Centre Ladies Auxiliary - Memorial Donation P.O.
