With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Claire Gallant, with her family by her side, at the age of 65 years, at home in Summerside on Friday, Dec. 25, 2015, formerly from Abram-Village. Claire was born on July 10, 1950, daughter of the late Aubin and Annie Gallant. Claire is survived by her beloved husband Larry Pilatzke and two step-children, Aaron (Anne) and Shannon (Peder), and step-grandchildren Tanner, Carleigh, Kade, Reiley and Joey. Will be forever remembered by her brothers and sister, Louis (Josephine), Adrus (late Marie), René (Ruth), Marie Anne (Victor) Rousselle, Raymond, brother-in-law René Maddix and numerous nieces and nephews. Claire is predeceased by her parents, brother Arthur and sister Alice. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville, until Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, then to St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay, where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Claire memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation, Summerside, or to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
