Joe Stampeen passed peacefully in his sleep on Christmas Day, 2015, surrounded by his family, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Saskatchewan, joined the RCAF. Joe travelled Canada, and fell in love in and with Nova Scotia. He married Jean (Forsythe), the love of his life, and retired in his paradise in East Bay, taking joy in his family, garden and friends.
Joe is survived by his loving wife; children, Carolyn, Ted and Brenda, and grandchildren, Vienna, Stefan, Justine and Noah.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, from 12-2 p.m., with a celebration of life to follow at 2 p.m. in the Chant's funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home.
