John “Jack” Bibby Sheldon
May 27, 1927 to December 23, 2015

In this season where we wish for peace on earth, Dad has found his peaceful reward for his faithful service to God, his love of family and community spirit. Dad was born to Norman and Daisy Sheldon on May 27, 1927, he grew up on and took over the family farm in the RM of Prince Albert, raising his own family and farming for decades. A hard working man, he always had time to help neighbours and participate in his community. Dad loved his sports - ball and curling in particular, both as a sportsman and spectator. Dad leaves to celebrate his life, his four children: Hugh, grandchildren Riley (Robin), Tanner (Alex), Jared (Ashley), Travis, Meghan (Landin) and great-grandchildren Madison and Klara; Norma; Marian (Keith Byrne), grandchildren Mitchell, Thomas (Alannah) and Cassidy; Carol (Ken MacKenzie), grandchildren Christina (James), Kristal and great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Austin and Amelia; sister, Irene Shapiro; sisters-in-law, Muriel Sheldon and Fran (Don McLaren); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Dad was predeceased by his wife Orra; parents Norman and Daisy Sheldon; mother-in-law and father-in-law Sarah and Jack Hunt; brother Bob; brother-in-law Stew Shapiro; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Margaret and Gordon Hollingshead and daughter-in-law Annette Sheldon. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. Alban’s Cathedral, 1410 Bishop McLean Crescent, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Dr. Norbert Haukenfrers and The Rt. Reverend Michael Hawkins, Bishop of Sask. officiating. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to Charity of Donor’s Choice.
