HOGAN, LILLIAN ALICE (LEA)
1917-2015
Lillian Alice (Lea) Hogan, of Miramichi, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 98. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Alice (Bannister) Lea.
She was a homemaker and a member of St James & St John United Church. Lillian was a C.G.I.T Leader, a member of Newcastle Seniors Friendship Club, and Newcastle Figure Skating Club as well as a Figure Skating Judge. She and Simon enjoyed camping, card games, square dancing, darts, and were loyal fans of the Toronto Blue Jays.
She will be sadly missed by her two daughters Lynne (Carl LeClair) of Miramichi, and Sheila (Myles Murray) of Moncton; three grandchildren Jason Murray (Michelle), Cara Lea LeClair (Ian Garrish), and Lynsey Murray (Greg Inglis); six great-grandchildren Kayla, Ashlee, Harper, Jaxen, Hudson, Jase; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Simon Hogan; two brothers Herbert Lea and Arnold Lea; and two sisters Evelyn Hinchcliff and Edith Bowser.
The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at 11 am, from St James & St John United Church, 556 King George Hwy, Miramichi, with Rev. John Frasier officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church hall. Interment will take place in St Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, at a later date.
As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Miramichi SPCA, or to a memorial of one's choice.
