Albert Roderick Fraser

Albert, age 87, passed away peacefully on Dec. 27, 2015 surrounded by family.
Albert was the son of Mary Isabelle (MacNeil) and Albert Thompson Fraser.
Albert worked at the Sydney Steel Plant for over 45 years. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was well liked and admired by the north end community. He always had a positive attitude and a beautiful infectious smile.
Albert is survived by his wife, Catherine Rose (MacNeil) and his children Carol Ann (Darrell), Shelly (Dave), Allan (Camille), John (Michelle), Albert and Sandy (Carrie) and his sisters Sheila and Sister Margaret Ann.
Albert was predeceased by his siblings Selina, John, Lillian, William, Alexina, James, Arthur, Mary and Chester.
He cherished his time spent with his grandchildren Christopher, Curt, Lee, Lindsay, Raechelle and Andrea as well as his step-grandchildren Brandon, Jeff and Brittany.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 30 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. followed by a celebration of life at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish on Thursday, Dec. 31 at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation or Palliative Care.
