DANELLS, DEREK
Const. Derek Danells of Sussex passed away on December 28, 2015 at the age of 68. Born in Saint John he was the son the late Richard John and Lillian Eva (Campbell) Danells and the husband of the late Carol Ann Danells who passed away in 2009.
Derek is survived by two daughters: Tammy Mersereau (Shawn) of Riverview, Ann Northrup (Evans) of Penobsquis, and five grandchildren: Ashley and Jacob Mersereau, Marshall, Marybeth and Maggie Northrup; Derek is also survived by his sisters: Lillian Mackin (Bernard), of Saint John and Faye Pegg, of Vancouver, BC.; two brothers: Bob Danells, of Saint John and Fred Danells (Leslie) of Vancouver; his sisters-in-law; Mary Gibbon, Shirley Hanson (Ralph) of Gondola Point, Janet MacMillan of Saint John and Bonnie Snodgrass (David) of Saint John all of Saint John; as well as by several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his brothers: Richard (Joey) Danells and Donald Danells; his sister Barbara Von Richter and his brothers-in-law Doug Cormier and Leonard Gibbon.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Thursday December 31st, from 12:00 to 5:00pm. A service celebrating Const. Danells’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Friday, January 1, 2016 at 2:00pm.
