Garth Francis Croft - 60, of New Minas, passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 at home. Born in Windsor, he was the son of Douglas Francis Croft, New Minas and the late Ruby (Morley) Croft. He was employed as a superintendent with G. K. Morse Construction Division. He lived a simple life and he was dedicated and loyal to his family. He enjoyed a special loving relationship with his dog, Cole. He is survived by his common-law wife, Sharon Marie Thorpe; two sons, Douglas (Shannon Huntley); Billy (Deborah Baxter), all of Kentville; stepdaughter, Janesse (Steve) Marryatt, Halifax; stepson, Jimmy Thorpe, Steam Mill; two brothers, Ted (Karen), Brooklyn, Hants County; Gary (Patty), White Rock; brother-in-law, Ralph Kaye, Delhaven; three granddaughters, Maddison, Gemma, Hailey; one grandson, Hayden; step-grandchildren, Jack, Michael, Mitchell, Brittney, Bradley; step-great granddaughter, Lariah. He was predeceased by a sister, Paulette Millett Kaye and a brother Brian. Cremation has taken place. There was no visitation by request. Funeral service was held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 1, 2016 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A gathering followed at the Family home, 41 Bishop Avenue, New Minas. Donations in memory may be made to the I.W.K Children’s Hospital. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville.
