Margaret Cavell Moore

Passed on: December 27th, 2015

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Margaret 'Margie' Moore at age 86. Margaret passed away peacefully in her sleep on Dec. 27, 2015, with her loving family by her side.
Born on April 12, 1929, Margie was the daughter of the late Norman and Ella (Devoe) Landry.
Her greatest pride was her grandchildren (Nannie Moore) and great-grandchildren (Grannie Moore) who "kept her young", (although she was always young at heart) and her special cat 'Babbie'.
She is survived by her sons Eugene, Joseph, and Lawrence (Raylene) Moore, all of Point Aconi, and daughters Sandra Lushway (Halifax), Francine (Francis) MacNeil (Point Aconi), Ella (Ronald/Hoss) Coleski (Millville), and June (Kenny) Bradley (Sydney Mines).
Margie is also survived by her loving grandchildren Robert, Laureen (Andrew MacDonald), Brian (Noelle Fullom), Stacy, Katelyn, Kyle (Tonya Ferguson) and Lisa. Great-grandchildren, Makaylah, Jacob, Kyrie, Dalton and Madison.
She was predeceased by her parents Norman and Ella (Devoe) Landry, husband Joseph Lawrence, brother Donald Landry, sister Frances MacIntyre, son in law Peter Lushway and her grandson Ronald Lushway.
Margie will be dearly missed by special friends Belia Doyle, Tina Donovon, her cat Babbie, and Randall Finnigan who held a special place in mom's heart, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Margaret was one of the oldest residents of Point Aconi, where she lived in the family home. She was a unique character with a big heart and generous spirit who will be truly missed. She was the center of entertainment at family gatherings. She knew how to take many jokes, and not to mention tell her fair share of them too, with her quick wit and quirky sense of humour.
A private family service was held for Margaret. Interment will take place in Point Aconi Cemetery.
