Mary Lewis - 98, of Port Williams, Kings County, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in the Wolfville Nursing Home. Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late George and Isabella (MacKenzie) McKinley. Mary had an exceptional ability to teach young children. She was also a talented Sunday School teacher who was brilliant and innovative with arts and crafts. She enjoyed travelling throughout Nova Scotia. She is survived by a son, Robert Lewis, Blue Rocks; two grandchildren, Chris (Laura-Lee) Lewis, Antigonish; Trudy (Anson) Field, Wellesley, Ontario; four great grandchildren, Terrin and Jesse Lewis, Jonathan and Talia Field; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm "Mac" Lewis; a daughter-in-law, Audrey Lewis; a sister, Isabelle Coffill; four brothers, Ernest, Walter, George, and Francis. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015, Reverend Florence Antle-Brison officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Willow Bank Cemetery, Wolfville. Donations in memory may be made to St. Paul's United Church, Blue Rocks, the S.P.C.A. or the charity of your choice.
