It is with great sadness that the family of the late Patrick MacWhirter announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Friday, January 1, 2016 at the age of 53 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Joanne (nee Guy); daughters Stephanie (Adam) and Samantha (Tim); his precious granddaughter Sadie; his loyal furry companion Maci; siblings: Marlene (Eric), Yvonne, Frank, Margie (Alonzo), Kevin (Chris), Alfred (Rose), Darrell, and Beverly (Dean); mother-in-law Joan Guy; brother-in-law Kevin (Neta); sister-in-law Debbie, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Olive MacWhirter; sisters Judith Ann, Louise and Debbie; brother Robert; father-in law Kevin Guy and sister-in-law Bess MacWhirter. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Monday, January 4, 2016 from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Wendy Lowden officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. The family would like to thank the medical staff of the Renal Dialysis Unit, the Emergency Dept. and the I.C.U. Unit at WMR Hospital for their countless efforts. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted, or donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
