It is with great sadness that the family of the late Paul Allen announce his peaceful passing, in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the age of 58 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his loving and devoted wife, Tammy (nee Collins); his three sons, his pride and joy: Kelsey, Keegan, and Ethan; his faithful four-legged companion Hershey; his mother Dorothy Allen, Corner Brook; sisters: Sandra Wheeler and Catherine Allen-Westby (Dr. J.C. Westby), all of Corner Brook; brother Ford (Agnes) Allen, Spaniard's Bay; parents-in-law William and Loretta Collins, Placentia; very special sister-in-law Perpetua Collins, Placentia, sisters-in-law: Cindy (Leonard) Power, Jerseyside, Wanda (Ed) Sisk, Long Cove, Janine (Frank) McGrath, Pt. Verde, and Amanda (Mike) Schneider, Riva, MD; brothers-in-law: Lorne (Annie) Collins, Placentia and Owen (Shirley) Collins, Auburn, NS as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family members, friends and colleagues. He was predeceased by his father George Allen and brother-in-law Graham Wheeler. Friends visited Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. In keeping with Paul's wishes cremation has taken place. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from First United Church, Park Street with Reverend John VanVliet officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the SPCA, WMR Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
