The death occurred peacefully at the Colville Manor in Souris on Sunday, January 3, 2016 of Rita MacDonald (nee Cheverie) in he 89th year.
Beloved wife of the late Ronnie MacDonald and formerly of East Point. Loving mother of Michael (Mary), Joe (Laura), Marion (Charlie) Flynn, Francis (Louise), Ronelda, Danny (Nicole), Donnie (Shelly), Margie (Richard) Gallant, and Gloria (Matthew) Crockett. Loving nanny to Stephen, Bryan, Aaron, and Meaghan Flynn, Pam Yafai, Cheryl Edmunds, Ronnie, Ben, Beth, Abbie, Jake, Lucas, Amelia and Will MacDonald, Emily and Kenny Gallant, Sam and Alina Crockett. Proud great grannie to Josie and Genie Flynn, and Farah Yafai. Survived by sister Marie (Reg) MacDonald, sister-in-law Rose Cheverie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by sisters, Beatrice, Fran, Tena; brothers, John, George, Bernie, Joe, and special brother-in-law, Victor.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday morning from 9-10 a.m. Funeral to be held on Thursday morning to St. Columba Roman Catholic Church in Fairfield for funeral mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
Memorials made to the Colville Manor Residence Council Activity Fund or St. Columba Restoration Fund would be appreciated.
