Sharron Ann (Johnston) Linton passed away on Saturday January 2, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Fairville, NB to the late William John and Bella Excelda (Gallant) Johnston on September 3, 1945. Sharron was married to her best friend William John Linton on June 30, 1978. She worked at Eldon’s Dairyland, Wassons Pharmacy and Northern Electric. She lived in Lahr, Germany from 1970-1972 where she worked and traveled, then moved to Musquash where she lived for 25 years before moving into the Carleton Kirk Complex. Sharron was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary at Branch #69 and was an Associate, Treasurer, First Vice President and President. She also served on the executive for many years. Sharron was presented with the Life Membership award on May 11, 2011. She also played for 39 years for the Saint John City & District Dart League where she was scorekeeper and President. Sharron will be sadly missed by loving husband Bill; stepson Todd (Corinna) and 3 boys Christopher, Kyle and Tylor; step-daughter Sherri and her two boys Justin & Tanner; brothers William (Jeannine) Johnston, Brian (Doris) Johnston, Kevin (Diane) Johnston; nieces Tracey (Tamin) Johnston, Erika (Andrew) Carter, Brianne Johnston and Kelsey Johnston; nephew Kenton Johnston; several cousins; her best friend Penny Irving. Besides her parents Sharron was predeceased by several Aunts and Uncles.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 6, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm & 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A Ladies Auxiliary Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Castle Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday January 7, 2016 at 11:00 am. Followed by a private Interment. Donations in Sharron’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice. www.castlefh.com
