Sylvia Campbell-MacDonald

 Sylvia Campbell-MacDonald
Campbell-MacDonald, Sylvia Laverne (Tattrie), of Cambey Avenue, Stellarton passed away December 31, 2015 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Plymouth Park, she was the  daughter of the late Frank and Hazel (Geddes) Tattrie.
We lost the most important, loving, strongest and amazing lady we have ever known. We called her Mom, Nan, Grammas and old great-nan.
She was surrounded by us all until the very end. Our lives will change forever without her, but her memory will live forever, always in our hearts.
She worked at the Valley View Villa for 20 years.
She loved to decorate and rearrange things in her home, shopping, drives, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her 4 kids and grandchildren, and her fur baby “Jake”. They were her life.
She loved to sing songs and tell stories. She was always told that she should have written a book.  It would have been a best seller.
She is survived by a daughter Shelley (John), Stellarton; #1 son Gary (Julie), at home; a daughter Debbie (Freddie), Springville; daughter Donna (Mike), Stellarton; her pride and joy, her grandchildren Ginny, Jay, Bradley, Brandon, Ashley, Travis, Kayla, Kelsey and Michael, great-grandchildren Daniel, Kaitlyn, Jack, Harper and Kenzie, her life-long and best friends Dot Duggan and Janet Avery, who always had a place in mom’s heart. She is also survived by half-brothers Brian (Glenda) Buckles, Stellarton; Frank (Laurie), Dartmouth; half sister Joan (Edward) Hudry, Stellarton.
She was predeceased by her first husband Jimmy Campbell, second husband Dan MacDonald, half sister Annie Buckles, and special friend Leonard Ward.
Cremation to take place.
The family will receive visitors from 7-9pm Thursday at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton from where a memorial service will be held 2pm Friday with Reverend Charles McPherson presiding.
Family flowers only.
Donations in memory of Sylvia may be made to the Sutherland Harris Foundation c/o the Pictou Dialysis Unit.
