Jane Frances Blanchard

Blanchard (Cameron), Jane Frances, Age 103, of Summerside, P.E.I., passed away peacefully at St. Vincent`s Nursing Home in Halifax, NS on January 2nd 2016. She was a very sweet-spirited lady that could capture you with her quick wit and endearing smile. Frances lived her life to the fullest with strength, humour and love. Frances was very family oriented. She enjoyed gatherings with family and friends. She had travelled to many places to seek out spiritual fulfillment and enrichment and was dedicated to her religion. Her hobbies included sewing which she learned from her Mother at a very young age, baking, crocheting and making dolls for which she had a huge collection that was published in the local paper. She was predeceased by her husband and father of their three children Nelson Blanchard. She is survived by son Walter (Joanne), Ontario; and two daughters Mary and Rosita (James) Dartmouth, grandchildren Joseph (Marjorie), Tammy (Jason), Patricia, Lindsay, John (Jenna), Jennifer, great grandchildren Nicholas, Brandon, Sarah, Joshua, Gregory, Zachery, Maddison, Lola and one great great grandchild Aubree. Funeral Services will take place in Summerside. Frances is resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, P.E.I. Visitation will take place January 7th, 2016 from 7-9pm. Funeral Service will take place the following day, Friday January 8th, 2016, at St. Paul`s Catholic Church, 289 Winter Street, Summerside, P.E.I., at 10:30 am. Special Thanks to all the staff at the Dartmouth General Hospital, Veteran’s Memorial Hospital and St. Vincent’s Nursing Home for all the kind love and care given to Frances during her stay. Donations in Frances’ memory to St. Paul`s Catholic Church, 289 Winter Street, Summerside, P.E.I. would be greatly appreciated.
