The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, of Joseph Emmanuel "Roger" Wedge of Summerside, aged 60 years. Roger was born in Summerside to his late parents Theodore "Ted" and Clara (nee Arsenault) Wedge. Beloved stepbrother of Gerard Perry (Anne), Walter Perry and Donnie Perry (Brenda), all of Summerside. Survived by his sister Therese Grandy (Doug) of Bridgewater, N.S., and lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Roger was predeceased by his brothers Edmond and Alphonse, his sister Yvonne, his stepmother Mildred Perry-Wedge and his stepbrother Jack Perry. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Saturday, Jan. 9, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Church Cemetery, Summerside, at a later date. Memorial donations in Roger's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
