It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Jason Michael Burbine age 39 of Joggins announce his passing on Saturday, January 2, 2015.
Born in Joggins, he was a son of Jeannie (Melanson) Burbine and the late Emmerson Burbine.
He worked at Poly Cello in Amherst for 20 years. Jason was an avid outdoorsman who loved snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and four wheeling. He also enjoyed street bikes and anything fast and was very dedicated to keeping fit. Above all, his true passion was motocross racing with his talented son Damon (The Turbine Burbine) and his cherished daughter Cadence and family.
Even through troubling times, Jason had a true heart of gold and would always be there for any family or friends in need. His children Damon and Cadence were the center of his entire world.
Jason will be forever missed by his spouse Stacey, son Damon and daughter Cadence, his mother Jeannie, brothers Terry (Kim) and David (Kim) both of Joggins, sister Lorna (Robbie) White of River Hebert, brothers Donald (Kelly) and Deon (Denise) both of Amherst and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and his extended motocross family and friends.
Besides his father Emmerson he was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-9906)
Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, Joggins, NS.
Memorial donations in his memory may be made in trust for Jason’s children Damon and Cadence.
