Vautour, Joseph “Joe” Eloi
1946-2016
RICHIBUCTO, NB – Beloved father Joseph Vautour, 69, of Richibucto passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Center in Moncton on Thursday, January 7, 2016. Born in Richibucto, he was the son of the late Donat Vautour and late Marie-Anne (Richard) Vautour. He was a member of the Richibucto Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 30. A proud soldier and twice decorated veteran, he was awarded the United Nations Medal and the Peacekeepers Medal for his service during The Cypriot War in 1974.
Joe will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Tammie Vautour (Norm Voth) of Sherbrooke, NS, Sarah Mazerolle of Richibucto; one son, Michael Vautour of Richibucto; two grandchildren, Benjamin Walder and Isabelle Vautour.
He is also survived by two sisters, Laurie Wilkes (late John) of Moncton, Gertrude LeBlanc (late Paul) of Leominster, MASS; three brothers, Maurice Vautour of Leominister, MASS, Reggie Vautour of Medecine Hat, AB and Louis Vautour (Joan) of Moncton.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Ronnie and Robert Vautour.
As per Joe’s wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home or funeral service. Donations in Joe’s memory may be made to the Richibucto Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 30. Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
