1925 -2016
Vincenzo Di Domenicantonio, 90, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 7, 2016 at The Moncton Hospital. Born on March 12, 1925 in Italy, he was the son of the late Cesare and Maria (Langi) Di Domenicantonio.
Vincenzo will be forever missed by his three children: Cesarino, Filippo (Noëlla) and Nadia Short (Sheldon); one son-in-law, Ennio Di Saverio (late Lina); his grandson, Nino Di Saverio (Kelley); two great-grandchildren: Demica and Antonio; three sisters-in-law: Assunta, Francesca, and Angiolina; many nieces, nephews, and friends in the Italian community of Moncton.
Vincenzo was also predeceased by his wife, Pasquina née Mazetta; (2010); one daughter, Lina Di Saverio (2012); one sister, Angiolina; two brothers: Giuseppe and Domenico.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, 43 Botsford Street, Moncton, Monday January 11 at 11 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
Special thanks and gratitude to those who assisted, visited, and cared for our father during his stay at the hospital. A special thanks to the staff of the 5100 geriatric wing.
