DOUCET, MARGARET D.
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Margaret Dorothy (McNeil) Doucet wife of the late Donat Doucet, which occurred on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Agnes (Stack) McNiel.
She began her working career at NB Tel and retired from Bell Aliant some forty years later.
She is survived by three brothers: Donald, Michael and David (Linda) all of Saint John; one sister: Theresa McNeil of Saint John; brother-in-law Guy (Claudette) Doucet of Petit Rocher and sister-in-law: Jenny Doucet of Bathurst, step-son: Bryan (Denise) Doucet; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by four brothers: Francis, Wallace, Joseph and William McNeil; two sisters: Elizabeth Gillis and Mary McNeil; sister-in-law Valerie McNeil.
To honor Margaret’s request there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 15, 2016 from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 12:10 pm. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB, (634-1965).
