MUISE, Lorraine Marie – age 74, Quinan, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 14, 2016 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born May 3, 1941 in Abram’s River, she was a daughter of the late J. Elien and Blanche F. (LeBlanc) Muise. Lorraine was a homemaker, having also worked as a cook at the Quinan School for some time. She loved playing bingo and cribbage and she was a gifted quilter. She and her husband Brad enjoyed camping with family and friends for more than 40 years. Lorraine loved laughing, loved her dog, had a strong faith and was a member of the Cursillo movement. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Bradford P. Muise, as well as by their children, Michel Muise (Nina Adams), East Pubnico; Dora (Vernon) Jacquard, Amirault’s Hill; Curtis (Paula) Muise, Quinan. Also surviving are her loving grandchildren Rose, Luke, Kyla and Madisson; great grandchildren, Seth, Eli, Jude, Harrison and Timothy, as well as brothers Edward (Elsie) LeBlanc, Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau; Martin Muise (Mary Doucette), Amirault’s Hill and a sister, Nancy (Enos) Jacquard, Edmonton, along with many nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by brothers Flavien and Jules Muise, as well as by two brothers in infancy. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 Friday with prayers at 8 p.m. at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 16 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Quinan, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. A private interment followed in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or to the Knights of Columbus, Council 8988 Tusket.
