It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Marie Bernadette (Scott) (Snow) Fudge, age 67, on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016 at her home in Port Hawkesbury.
Born in North Sydney, on Nov. 4, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Bob Scott and Hazel (Warren) Scott McAdam.
For many years Marie worked at Jasper’s Restaurant in Sydney River until her retirement. Marie was a kind and loving person who enjoyed spending time with family and especially enjoyed visiting with her brother Nelson and wife Johanna, who were also her best friends. She also loved going to bingo games. She was married to Clarence Fudge for 27 years.
Besides her husband Clarence, she is survived by her three children, Cecil (Lisa) Snow, Halifax, Shawn (Stephanie) Snow, Calgary and Angela MacDonald (Troy), Calgary, her eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Also surviving are her brothers, Nelson (Johanna) Scott, Connie Scott, David (Marie) Scott, all of North Sydney and Joe Scott, Sydney Mines, her sisters, Sharon (Martin) Doyle, Rachel Armstrong, both of Ontario, Violet 'Sis' Taylor, Parrsboro and many nieces and nephews.
Marie was predeceased by sisters Mildred Route, Mary Scott and brothers George, Finnigan, Ron, Alfred and Robert Scott and Billy MacAdam.
Visitation for Marie will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. A graveside service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
