Frederick “Gido” MARKOWSKI

Fred peacefully passed away on January 6, 2016 at the Victoria Hospital with his family by his side. He was 79 years old. Fred was born to Mike and Pearl Markowski on February 22, 1936 in Junor, SK. Fred’s mobility was more difficult as time went on but any chance he could he would go out and watch his grandson Karsten play sports. Be it any season, all of the teammates saw “Gido” cheering them on and encouraging them to take on their next game. Fred spent his last years in Mont St. Joseph but took great pleasure in his outings whenever the chance arouse. Fred is survived by his wife Marie (nee Smith); his children Kevin (Karen) Markowski, Kane (Theresa) Markowski, and Kenah Markowski; grandchildren: Kyren (Jacinda), Kyler (Melissa), Kalyn, Key-el (Trisha) and Karsten. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of Mont St Joseph for the care that our father received during his stay.
