Raymond Ryan

Ryan, Raymond George
May 13, 1928 – January 14, 2016
On Thursday, January 14, 2016, Ray went to his heavenly home where his long term goal - “to see the face of Jesus”- was reached. He had fought a good fight with multiple health problems with patient endurance and good humour. His final struggle was mercifully short. He was surrounded by a large family of loving members who took turns sitting by his side to the end. His life verse was Proverbs 15:1 which reads, “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
Ray was a valued employee of CN for 33 years and 8 months. He was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Moncton since 1952. Ray will be remembered for his loving, giving, caring nature; for his extraordinary patience and as a gentle soul who quietly helped those in need. He will be missed by many people both old and young in our family, our church and community friends.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret; his children: Beth MacDonald (David), Mary Jane Haley (Gary), Paul, Verona Cybulski (David); grandchildren: Andrew and Grant MacDonald, Julie Jones – nee Haley (Scott), Tony and Sara Haley, Katherine and Chris Cybulski (Taycie); great-grandchildren: Haley and Jessica Jones, Cullen and Imogen Cybulski, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters Laurie Kreidler and Joyce Lira.
A celebration of Ray’s life will take place on Monday, January 18, 2016, at 2:30 pm at First Baptist Moncton at the corner of Church and Queen Streets. There will be a reception following the service. Arrangements entrusted to Fair Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1177 Salisbury Rd, Moncton, NB, E1E 3V9, (506) 852-3530
A special thanks to Dr. Wm Fitch, the team of specialists that treated Raymond for many years, the team of doctors at the Moncton Hospital who treated him in his final days and the palliative care nurses of 3600. Thank you also to Rev. Dr. Richard Jackson and our church family at First Baptist.
Donations in his memory may be made to First Baptist Church Moncton, Friends of the Moncton Hospital or the charity of your choice. No flowers please. Online condolences may be made by visiting: www.fairhavenmemorial.ca
