It is with great sadness that the family of the late Catherine Annie Laing announce her sudden passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris Point on Wednesday, January 13,2016 in her 78th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 53 years Gordon Laing, her children John (Judy Dwyer), Shawn (Bessie), Paul (Melvena Brake), Elizabeth (Ray) Diamond, Gordon, Albert (Kim), Wendy (Kenneth) Howell, and Corey (Nancy). Her grandchildren Michael, Danielle (Steven) Whall, Paul, Shay, Mateo, Victoria, Christopher, Jada, Hilary, Gabrielle and Billy, step-grandchildren Raymond (Kim) Diamond, Charmaine (Derrick) Munn, Jennie Santang, Nathan Santang, Sarah Reid, and Barry Reid. Great-grandchildren Riley and Rayne, Step-great grandchild Brandon. Her brothers Hayward (Ivy), Tom (Kay) her sisters Margaret, Leona (Marvin), Thelma (Emmanuel), Edna (William), Gladys (Eddie), her brother-in-law Felix (Jean) sister-in-law Mary Ellsworth, her special niece Debbie (Roger) Humber. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives. Mother was predeceased by her parents George & Evangeline Humber, brother Gus, sister Edith parents in Law Russell John & Julia Laing, brother-in-law Russell. Visitation will take place from the Anglican Church in Norris Point on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm. where funeral service will also take place on Monday, January 18,2016 at 2:00pm. with Rev. Terry Rose officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery.
