Jean Elizabeth Brown, 94 of Kemptown, died peacefully on January 17, 2016 at Williams Country Home, Hilden. Born at Earltown on August 8, 1921 she was a daughter of the late Alexander Angus and Ida Johanna (Baillie) Murray.
She is survived by a daughter Barbara Enman, Charlottetown PEI, a son Eric, England, a granddaughter Jennifer Enman, Saint John NB, and a grandson Colin Enman and his financee Sara Jane Vermette, Moncton NB. She is also survived by sister Joanna Maddox, Toronto and by Irene McRae, Nuttby.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Donald, daughter Nancy and her husband William Clark; brother Robert and brother-in-law John Maddox.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro, from where visitation will take place on Tuesday evening, January 19 from 6-8 pm and where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 20 at 2:00 pm. Reverend Mary J. White will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Upper Kemptown Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundations of Nova Scotia or to a charity of choice.
