Entered into eternal life at McAuley Convent, on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, Sister Margaret Pittman, age 83 years. Predeceased by her parents, William and Clotilda (Lake) Pittman, brothers, John, David, Rupert (Martha), William, brother-in-law, Aloysius Ducey, and sisters Mary Ann (Patrick) Hynes, Ernestine (Philip) Brake, Lydia (Alphonsus Power, Thomas Fitzpatrick), and Madonna (Ernest) O'Rourke. She will be fondly remembered by her Religious Congregation, the Sisters of Mercy, her sister, Jessie (Gerard) Kirby, brother-in-law, Fred (Daphne) Lake, special friend Walter Withers and a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Waking at McAuley Convent, 250 Waterford Bridge Road, St. John's, Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish Church, Waterford Bridge Road, with interment to follow at the Sisters of Mercy plot in Belvedere Cemetery.
