Fraser’s Mountain - Pearl Helene Rose, age 94, of the Valley View Villa, formerly of Fraser’s Mountain, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016, surrounded by her loving family in the Villa.
Pearl was a daughter of the late Nelson and Elva (Burns) Hemwood, of Trenton.
She was a retired employee of the Goodman Co. Ltd.
Pearl was a member of Trinity United Church.
She is survived by daughters: Myrna (Neil Sutherland), Bedford; Margie Murphy, Lower Sackville; Mary, Fraser’s Mountain; daughter-in-law, Marjorie, Trenton; grandchildren: Darlene, Valerie, David, Angela, Dennis, Paula, Jason, Janet, Jennifer and the apple of her eye, Steven; several great and great-great grandchildren; sister, Charlotte “Shy” MacDonald, Trenton; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by husband, Alex; sons: Sandy and Lloyd; grandson, Mark; brother, Robert; sisters: Margaret, Hazel, Gladys and Frances.
Visitation 7-9 pm Friday, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday, with Rev. Donna Tourneur officiating.
Burial will be at a later date.
Donations in her memory may be made to Muscular Dystrophy or a charity of choice.
