BEVERIDGE, WILLIAM "BILL"
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Robert Beveridge on Tuesday, January 19th 2016. He was born in Saint John, N.B on October 11th, 1943 and was the son of Angus and Eunice (McKay) Beveridge.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Elizabeth "Liz", one daughter Nadine (Ron) Boudreau, two sons; Troy and Bill Jr. (Kim), two step-daughters; Kelley (Randy) Thompson and Kathy (Arthur) Ames, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters Bonnie (Bob) Finnie, Brenda Rice, and Betty Beveridge, a sister-in-law; Gail Beveridge, as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his canine companion Benny.
Bill was loved by everyone who knew him for his fun loving nature and zest for life. He loved his family, he loved to dance and to spend time with friends. He'll be greatly missed by the gang at Tim Horton's.
Prior to his retirement in 1996, Bill was employed as a cook at the Regional Hospital and before that at the DVA Hospital. He was formerly a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69.
Along with his parents he was predeceased by son Robert, brother Bobby, granddaughter Robin, and a brother-in-law Arthur Rice.
Bill will be resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday, January 21st , 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Tribute to a Veteran Service being held at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 22nd at 11:00 a.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel.
