Relatives and friends of the late Margaret Christine MacNeil grieve her death which occurred on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016 in the Seaview Manor, Glace Bay.
Margie was born in Sydney in 1923 and was the daughter of the late Lauchlin and Christine (MacGillvray) MacDonald.
Margie will be greatly missed by her family members, relatives and friends. They will miss her warm smile and gracious manner and especially her sense of humour.
Margie is survived by her sister, Sr. Mary Cecilia MacDonald, CND, Sydney and by two sisters-in-law, Ethel MacDonald and Theresa MacDonald, both of Sydney. While Margie did not have children of her own, she is survived by many nieces and nephews who will remember her as their favourite aunt and will miss her greatly.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, John Arthur who passed away in 1991; brothers, Angus (Mary), Hughie (Carrie), Norman (Marion), Donald, Bernie, Raymond (Helen) and Steve and by sisters, Catherine (Otto) and Anne.
Visitation for Margaret MacNeil will take place at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel today (Friday) from 2-5 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church with Rev. Bill Burke officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
