It is with broken hearts that the family of Steven Bruce Boyd, age 59, of Amherst announce his passing on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in Toronto, ON but lived the rest of his life in Amherst.
Steven was a simple man who lived life on his own terms. He loved his family very much and his dog Soda.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter Nicole (Jason) of Amherst, sisters Kim (Tim) Ripley of Amherst, Sandy (Brian) Coates of Barrie ON and Linda Hunt of Ponce Inlet, Florida and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Danny Boyd and Joyce (Boyd) Gouchie and his maternal grandparents Stanley and Audrey Quinn.
A celebration of Steven’s life will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-9906)
Interment will take place at a later date in the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery, Amherst.
Memorial donations in Steven’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the L.A. Animal Shelter.
