The death occurred peacefully with her family by her side, on Sunday, January 24, 2016 of Laura Whitty (nee Gallant), formerly of Farmington, in her 98th year.
Wife of the late Alphonsus (Phonsie) Whitty. Loving mother of Vera (John) Hughes, Edgar, Zelda (Emmett) Doyle, Vernon (Carla), Ellen (George) Cook, Brenda (David) Gillis, Frank (Cathy), Claire (Ken) Kelly, and Michael (Lolita). Fondly remembered by 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sons, Charlie and Norbert, daughter, Phyllis, and granddaughter, Karen Doyle.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral home in Souris for visiting hours on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday morning, January 27, 2016 from 9-10 a.m. Funeral to be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 to St. Charles Roman Catholic Church for funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
Memorials to St. Charles Cemetery Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
