Mrs. Lillian Rose Anna Sweeney, age 83, of Manitou Beach, SK and formerly of Prince Albert, SK passed away at the Royal University Hospital on Friday, January 22, 2016. She was born on March 26, 1932 in Red Deer Hill District, SK, where her parents homesteaded. She was the youngest of 13 children. Lillian married Bud Sweeney on February 25, 1952. Lillian is survived by her loving family: her daughter Patricia Sweeney, children Calais and Liam; her son Daniel (Karen) Sweeney, son Justin; her daughter Colleen Sweeney (Terry), children Brodie, Jesse, Colton (Tiffanie) with great-granddaughter Alayna; her companion Jerome Reifferscheid as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Oliver and Amanda (née Chenier) Lamontagne; her husband Robert “Bud” Sweeney on September 17, 1994; her brothers Roger, Leon, Johnny; her sisters Helen, Laura, Theresa. A private funeral service will be held. Mrs. Margaret Ferchuk will officiate. Interment will take place in the Garden of Gethsemane, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may donate to the Palliative Care Area at the Royal University Hospital.
