PITMAN, Richard Charles
Richard Pitman of Saint John went home to his Lord and Saviour on Monday January 25, 2016, from the VA Snow Center Nursing Home in Hampton. Richard was born in Saint John March 11th of 1946 to the late Richard and Anna (Donaldson) Pitman. He worked for the Saint John Airport as a Firefighter for over 30 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Calvary Temple, enjoyed wood working, golfing, boating and especially spending time with his family.
Richard is survived by his wife of 46 years Linda (Hogge) Pitman of Saint John; children Drew Pitman (Laurie) of Saint John, Amy Carr (Christian) of Hampton, Eric Pitman (Natalie) and Danny Pitman (Miranda) both of Saint John; precious grandchildren Emily, Ben, Evan, Andrew, Cassie, Reese, Brett, Anna and Georgia; cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road, (646-2424).
A memorial service will be held from the Calvary Temple, 83 Sydney Street, on Thursday January 28th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Richard’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society, Calvary Temple Food Pantry or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
