Passed peacefully away after a short but valiant battle with ALS. Mrs. Mary Joyce, lifetime resident of the Goulds at a wonderful age of 86. Predeceased by husband Luke (1998), grandson John Jr. (2012), parents John and Teresa Murphy, brother Leo and sister Elizabeth. Leaving to mourn her children: Pasty (Mike) Turner, John (Kay) Joyce, Bernice (Ernie) Williams, Diane (Kenneth) Williams, Michael (Debbie) Joyce, Luke Jr. (Donna) Joyce, Eddy (Linda) Joyce, Dennis Joyce, Patrick (Eileen) Joyce, Colleen (Barry) Dunne and Kevin; grandchildren: Colleen, Shawn and Patrick, Kimberly, Kelly, Ernie Jr., Roxanne, Kenny, Gary, Krista, Blair, Christopher, Luke Jr., Rodney, Tina, Terry, Jason, Chantelle, Dean, Stephanie, Chad, Tarah, Leeanne and Barry; sister Maude, thirty-three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, friends and her many furry friends. Special mention to her friend Marion Horecka, all her buddies at the Goulds Daffodil Club, residents and staff of Alderwood Estates, Kevin who was her best friend and driver and Krista who was not only her granddaughter but her cherished friend and confident. She died as she lived with a strong faith in God and a plate of dinner on the stove for whom ever came along. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Thursday from 5-9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. from St. Kevin's Parish. Interment to follow at St. Kevin's Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Mary's memory may be made to the SPCA.
