BURBRIDGE, MARIE MARGUERITE AURELINE
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Marie Marguerite Aureline (Duguay) Burbridge, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, January 30th, 2016. Born 1935, in Inkerman, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Eugénie (Landry) Duguay.
Aureline was a stay at home mother raising her 11 children. She loved fishing, gardening, sewing, playing cards, bingo and reading. She was a great cook and she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
Aureline is survived by her sons Reg Burbridge of Saint John, Lester Burbridge of Saint John, Billy Burbridge (Lori) of Saint John, Donald Burbridge of Edmonton, AB, John Burbridge (David) of Barrie, ON; daughters Nancy Johnson (Carl) of Michigan, Carol Burbridge (Joey) of Saint John, Glenda Creamer (Darrell) of Saint John, Darlene Burbridge (Blaine) of Saint John, Bernice Ross (Michel) of Edmonton, AB, Michelle Burbridge of Saint John; brothers Emile Duguay (Lydia) of Saint John, Donald Duguay (Elizabeth) of Saint John; sister Jackie Arsenault of Quispamsis; grandchildren Adam, Ashley, Shane, Mike, Andrew, Matthew, Mallory, Mark, Rebecca, Trent, Jarrod, Colin, Kevin, Kyle, Sarah, Cheyanne; great-grandchildren Greyson, Ayden, Mitchell, Clark; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, Aureline was predeceased by her husband Edward, sisters Arcadine Richard and Margaret Arsenault, daughter-in-law Cathie Burbridge, and son-in-law Bruce Mailman.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Tuesday, February 2nd from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, February 3rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place from St. Joachim’s Catholic Church on Thursday, February 4th at 12 noon, followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
