RUSSELL (nee HOLM), HILDEGARD F.
1920 - 2016
Hildegard Russell, 95, formerly of Ninth St. Moncton, NB; passed away at The Briarlea, on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Hildegard was raised in Calais, Maine; she was the last surviving child of the late William and Urania Holm.
A former member of Wesley Memorial Church, Moncton, she was also a member of the OES and she was Past President of CNIB.
Hildegard loved children and teaching them crafts, knitting and crocheting. However her greatest passion was that of her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a devoted mother to her children Donna (Alan) Robbins, Teri Killam and Christopher (Jean) Russell; her adoring grandchildren Wendy (Mark) Wyman, Tracey Learned, Kim (Ed) Tetley, Keith (Tara) Killam, Richard Russell, Ross (Lisa) Russell; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Dorothy Holm and Irene Russell; as well as nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years Donald Russell, second husband Gilbert Keirstead, son-in-law Richard Killam; sisters Edith (Harry) Leddington, Bertha (Leroy) Harmon and Winnifred (Richard) Volpe and a brother William Holm.
Resting at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen RD. Riverview with visitation being held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 12 noon until 1:30pm. The Funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Aaron Billard officiating. Interment will in St. Stephen Rural Cemetery, St. Stephen, NB on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 2:00pm
Donations in Hildegard 's memory made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Southeast NB, Diabetes Association or to the CNIB.
