At the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, surrounded by his loved ones, on January 29, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, of Vince MacNeil of Stratford, age 86 years.
Vince was the beloved husband of the late Theresa MacNeil (deceased - 1995) and the loving partner of Dianne MacMillan (nee MacNeill). He is also survived by his children - Terry Ezekiel (Francis Peters) of New Argyle, P.E.I., Frances McKenzie (Rob) of Chilliwack, B.C., Sandra Smith (David) of White Court, A.B., Maureen MacNeil of Brantford, ON., Nancy Ezekiel (Paul Rossi) of Brantford, ON., and daughter-in-law, Janice Dougherty (Jeff). Also to mourn Vince, Dianne’s children - Bobby MacMillan (Shaunalee MacDougall) of New Glasgow, N.S. and Susan MacMillan (Adam Gallant) of Petawawa, ON. Vince is survived by 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, John Bernard (Bernie); daughter, Rose Ann; great-grandson, Tyson; son-in-law, Philip Ezekiel; parents, Neil and Katherine MacNeil of Iona, Cape Breton and seven brothers and sisters.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at St. Pius X Church at 10 a.m. Interment will take place later at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
