Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family and friends on January 29, 2016, John Patrick Devereaux of Holyrood aged 72 years. Predeceased by members of his birth family: parents, William and Barbara Penney, sisters: Bernadine Linton and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick (Andrew) and nephew, Darryl Fitzpatrick, also predeceased by members of his family by adoption: parents, Thomas and Mary Devereaux, brothers: Gerald and William Devereaux (Lucy), sisters: Lillian Crawley (Jack) and Madeline Hillegass (Robert) and nephews: Thomas Devereaux and Wayne Hillegass. Left to mourn his wife of 50 years, Lorraine (nee Crawley), daughters: Darlene Reifel (Mark), Brenda Maloney (Glen), son, Lee (Danielle), six grandchildren whom he adored: Victoria and Davis Reifel, Jillian and Lucas Maloney, Nicholas and Kiersten Devereaux, brothers: William and Harold Penney (Rose), brothers-in-law: Bruce Linton, Francis Crawley (Germaine), Loyola Crawley (Marilyn), sister-in-law: Evelyn Devereaux Hennessey, special nephew, Donald Fitzpatrick and family, also a wide circle of other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours. Resting at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 and Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral will take place with Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 10:30 am from Holy Cross Church, Holyrood. Cremation to follow.
