Linda Alberta (Snow) Jewells

Passed on: February 1st, 2016

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law and aunt, Linda Alberta Jewells on Feb.1, 2016, at home.
Linda was the daughter of Phyllis Snow (with whom she shared an unwavering bond) and the late Albert Snow.
Linda worked 35 years for N.S. Correctional Service, where she formed many lifelong friendships. She belonged to St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Glace Bay Seniors and Pensioner’s Club, Ladies Auxiliary and Dart League, C.B Antique Car Club and the Ostomy Society. Linda also volunteered for many years at St. Paul’s Church and Glace Bay Town House Meals on Wheels.
Linda was the most loving and caring mother and friend and often put the needs of others before her own. She always had a smile and a short funny story to lift your spirits.
Linda is survived by her husband and best friend of 44 years, Errol; her only daughter, Phyllis, who she loved with all her heart and her special boy, Michael. Her brother, Brian (Linda) Snow, Donkin; her loving and caring niece, Alison (Jeff) MacDonald and her special nephew, Brian 'Bubba' Snow. Linda is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, Feb. 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 5 at 1 p.m. in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church with Rev. Allan MacLellan officiating.
Donations can be made to Ostomy Society or C.B Cancer Society.
