They were married for 47 ½ years, with Douglas passing on October 1, 1997. Alexia loved life and was always on the go. She worked at the Swift Current Co-op as a retail clerk for many years up until her retirement. She loved retail and it showed, as she always knew where to find a bargain. She loved playing baseball in her younger days. As she got older, Alexia enjoyed socializing with family and friends. She had a passion for yard work and tending to her flowers until she was no longer able to due to health reasons. Alexia continued to love her family and her affection and devotion to her grandkids remained until the day she left us. A private family service has been held. A celebration of her life will take place in Swift Current, Saskatchewan in the spring of 2016.
