Harvey, Neil James
The passing of Neil James Harvey of Fredericton, NB, husband of Lucy Pyne occurred on Wednesday, February 2, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 12, 1949 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late James and Clara “Coo” (Sparkes) Harvey. He worked as a Logging Foreman for Lloyd MacDonald & Sons. Neil coached basketball at Stanley High School for 25 years. He loved going to his camp and hunting.
In addition to his wife, Neil is survived by his sons, Jeffery Harvey (Carol McCaie) of Fredericton, NB, Greg Pyne (Tracy) of Oromocto, NB and Nick MacDonald of Belleville, ON; grandson, Kale Pyne; brother, Bob Harvey of Fredericton, NB; aunts, Frances Sparkes of Saint John, NB and Caroline Dorcas of Saskatchewan; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. Kimberly Barlow officiating. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton SPCA, New Brunswick Kidney Foundation or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.
