E. Jane Duncan

Passed in: Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada
Passed on: February 3rd, 2016

E. Jane Duncan,62, of Moncton, passed away after a courageous, hard fought battle with cancer on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 with her family by her side, at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Boston, at age 5, together with her family, Jane moved to the South Side of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland. In 1970 she graduated from St. Paul’s High School and then moved to New Brunswick.
She worked at Co-Op Insurance and a number of local banks while living in Killams Mills until she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse at A.J. MacMaster School of Nursing, graduating in 1984. She later continued her education, while working fulltime as a nurse, receiving her Bachelor of Nursing in 1996. This was not the end of her education as she continually found ways to learn and teach others.
She worked at the Moncton Hospital for several years as a surgical nurse on 5600, later as a staff educator for Maternal/Child health care and the surgical areas until she retired in 2014. After retiring, she worked at Cumberland County Regional in Amherst and finally at WeCare. She also enjoyed building her Independant Business with Amway over the last several years.
As a social butterfly, Jane enjoyed volunteering at various events, hosting backyard family gatherings and neighbourhood block parties. She loved to have Friday night sleepovers with her girls preparing for busy Saturdays of swimming and dancing. She enjoyed getting the girls dressed up for Sunday School and having many adventures.
She is remembered by her two children (whom she loved dearly), Stacey (Neil) and Ronnie (Danielle), two precious granddaughters (who were the apples of her eye), Arabella and Natalya; sisters Florence Goddard (Sterling) and Norma Demont (Dana); several cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
Rested at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) www.keirsteads.ca
Visitation was Sunday, February 7. A Celebration of Life Service was held Monday, February 8, at the Moncton Wesleyan Church. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.
In memory of Jane, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

We love you through and through, yesterday, today and tomorrow too Mom/Memère/Sister/Friend.
