Varner (nee Lantz), Sarah Margaret
The death of Sarah Margaret Varner (nee Lantz) occurred on February 3, 2016 at Carleton-Kirk Lodge in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Born December 15, 1918 in Fox River, Nova Scotia to John and Ruth (Ross) Lantz, she is survived by her children, Sydney (Ivy) of St. George, Ruth Varner-Smith of Mexico, JoAnn Jondreville of Quebec and Heather Varner (John Fitzgerald) of Saint John; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Kearns of China, Stephen Varner of Saint John, Michael Jondreville of Quebec, Kristen Jondreville of PEI, Stephanie Varner Watt of Dartmouth, Leah Fitzgerald of Saint John and Brian Fitzgerald of Quispamsis and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Jean West of Fredericton and Mary Neville of Dartmouth; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Claude Varner; her sister, Jacqueline Parker; her brother, Wilford Lantz and granddaughter, Jennifer Eldridge.
There will be no funeral at this time. A memorial service will be held in Nova Scotia at a time to be announced.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Eric Grant, Shavon (RN) and all the staff at Carleton-Kirk Lodge for their care and compassion.
