Passed peacefully away at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, February 8, 2016, Annie Marion (Marnie) Mulley (nee Mercer), in her 80th year. Predeceased by parents Albert and Pearl Mercer; infant sister Olive; brother George Mercer; and stepmother Frances Downey. Leaving to mourn, sister and best friend Florence (Jim) Murphy, with whom she resided; sister Frances (Bob) Halleran and family (Paradise, NL); brothers Lewis (Kim) Mercer and family (Ontario), Joseph (Valda) Mercer and family (St. John's), Malcolm (Gloria) Mercer and family (Carbonear, NL); sister-in-law Josephine Mercer and family; two aunts Beatrice Oram and Greta Glover, both from Glovertown, NL; special niece Mary (Bob) Peddle and children, Deanna (Charles), Jillian (Andrew); special nephew, Gerard (Shirley) Murphy and children, Alicia Ezekiel, Megan (Roger) Dillon, Matthew (Jennifer) Murphy, Michael Murphy; six very special great-great-nieces and nephews Benjamin and Avery Ezekiel, Blake and Brady Dillon, Brooke and Aiden Murphy. A number of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, as well as a number of cousins in St. John's and Glovertown, and extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Wednesday, February 10, from 6-9 pm and on Thursday, February 11, from 10 am - 12 noon. Funeral service will take place from Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 2 pm, with interment to follow at the General Protestant Cemetery, Waterford Bridge Road. No flowers by request. Donations in her memory may be made to the Autism Society of NL or Epilepsy NL. Special thank you to the staff at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital 4th Floor West and the special angels at the Palliative Care Unit of the Leonard A. Miller Centre.
