Nancy Louise Cameron age 69 of Glace Bay, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016 at the Glace Bay General Hospital.
Born in Montreal, Quebec, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Louise (Broderick) Dundin.
In her younger years she was a camp councilor with the Girl Guides, a swim instructor with the YWCA and an avid skier. After high school, she had gone to college to train as a medical laboratory technician. She then moved to Cape Breton to start her career at the Glace Bay General Hospital, where she had worked for over 30 years and where she met her husband Glen of 49 years. Nancy loved spending her Christmas's and New Years in Halifax and the rest of her winters in Florida.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Glen; son, Donald (Sharon), Halifax; sister, Judy Dundin, Hemmingford, Quebec; her grandchildren; great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and her extended family in Halifax.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m.; all in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. Father Norman MacPhee persiding. Interment will take place in the springtime in Greenwood Cemetery, Glace Bay.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
