With heavy hearts we regret to announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law and friend Sheila Florence Fudge, 68, on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, at the An Cala Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Born in Louisbourg, Sheila was the daughter of the late Bill and Alice (Moore) Skinner.
In her early years she was employed by National Sea Products then Parks Canada where she retired in 2015. Sheila was a member of Branch 62 Ladies Auxiliary for many years, she volunteered her time with Louisbourg Food Bank. Sheila was an avid reader, and tarabish player, she also loved to quilt and crochet.
Sheila is survived by her son Barry (Tanya), Louisbourg; grandchildren, Taylor, Jahyd, Nathan and Anna, whom she loved with all her heart. She was also survived by special nieces, Gail, Alice Marie; nephews, Jeff, Barry, Cecil, David and Jody; sister-in-law, Angela Taylor, Maxine Antle; brothers-in-law, Less, Maurice, Eugene, and Harry Joe Fudge, all of Burin, N.L. She is also survived by special lifetime friends, Patsy MacDonald, Allister MacDonald and 'special' aunt Colleen Billard.
Sheila was predeceased by her husband Tom, son Devon, brother Carl, sister Marge sister-in-law Eileen Skinner, Anna Plank and brother-in-law Len Fudge.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Sheila will be held on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Louisbourg. Funeral service will be held the Following day at 11 a.m. at St. Bartholomew’s Church with Rev. Glen Kent officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home.
